Fabulous App

Check this out – Getting a great breakfast : https://thefab.page.link/GdSkF

There is this wonderful app that I am trying that is supposed to help you change your habits, depending on which journey you select. It could be having to do with being more organized or increasing your productivity during the day, but whatever it is , there is a path for.

I just wanted to share something that I am personally finding success with. Sometimes programs are hard to stick with because of lack of motivation, but it doesn’t feel like effort doing this.

If you want to try this for yourself, check out my post from yesterday, How to Be With Yourself, and try it free for 30 days using my guest pass.

Happy Tuesday!!!

How to Be With Yourself

It seems that mask mandates are being lifted in some places, but it is still good to be on the safe side and find ways to entertain yourself. I don’t know about you, but this time has given me moments to pause and reflect on what makes me happy.

I still want to continue to do that while the world resumes “their new normal.” I will be quite happy to continue to be more introverted and peaceful!

I am sharing this guest pass to this new app that I am finding helpful for me mentally. It is available to the first five to click this link for free. It’s my way of saying thank you.

Happy Monday!!!

Side Hustle Inspiration

These are recommended books that could inspire you towards your next big hustle!

  1. 100 Side Hustles by Chris Guillebeau
  2. Hustle by Neil Patel
  3. Side Hustles by John Banks

Some weeks ago, I wrote about “Blue Ocean Strategies” and I want to provide an example of that. For those of you who might not know what I am talking about, I am referring to utilizing opportunities that not many people are utilizing yet, or there is not much information around them. With that carries risk, but those opportunities that you here and have lots of information around, means that those areas are saturated and new entry into those areas are hard to distinguish yourself in.

This article is going to provide an example of that strategy in use in talking about “Blue Ocean Strategy.” I was inspired by G. Brian Davis in where he was talking about investment into Co-working Spaces. Now hear me out.

Strategy and Planning

Co-working spaces seems like a great idea to me because of the effects of the “Great Resignation.” There are more people working from home, but what I have also seen is the fatigue that comes from being at home. If I were to work remotely, I would definitely have one of these spaces to keep me in the business mindset.

In no way what I am suggesting is because I claim to be an expert investor, but I want readers to know that I write this as much for your understanding, as well as my own, but it is interesting to to see that investment in real estate is not wildly talked about, not in terms of housing, but remote options that would allow you to earn side income by owning and co-opting office space. This is like the virtual office option I talked about in one of my first post.

Business Goals and Blogging

Business and Blogging

The question that o have on my mind is how do I find ways to hustle in the side while maintaining building readership on my blog? In an article that I read by Nicola Bleu, about side hustles in the new year, and mentioned some options, such as writing for others, while building your brand.

There is a site that I linked above that gave me a different perspective in how I want to practice writing using other avenues. I’m thinking about my personal blog, the topics I want to cover, it was interesting to see how even the casual blogger can focus on the things they like and grow a community from that.

The Business of Blogging

In continuing to give advice and share what I know on my journey to entrepreneurship, I will continue to share money-making opportunities with my audiences.

Please be sure to check out the link provided for those who already blog and want to write for a larger audience.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness

Money Matters

This program was originally launched in 2007 and as part of the conditions, you made 10 years worth of payments on your federal school loans, the rest of your loans were forgiven.

The problem with this program is that many borrowers at the time did not realize they weren’t eligible for the program. At the time the program was introduced, there were many people with private loans, instead of the ones backed by the federal government.

I order to figure out if your current employer offers Loan Forgiveness, click here. To check what kind of loans you have, click here.

There are two parts to student loan forgiveness, which could involve consolidation and a waiver. For those that are interested , this program ends on October 31, 2022.

Tax Season is Here!!

Filing Taxes

Tax season is here and if I am thinking about the tedious task, I know you are too! I will be posting a few tidbits about taxes in some of my upcoming articles to share new information regarding our 2021 filings. By no means am I a tax professional, but I am sharing what I have come across in doing my own taxes. Below is a list for the documents you need on hand.

There were a series of letters the IRS sent out regarding stimulus payments made (Letter 6419), but don’t worry if you cannot find those letters. I will provide the link here for you to be able to look the information up online.

Exceptions to receiving Recovery Rebate Credit

The IRS has already issued all three (3) Economic Impact Payments. The ones who were most likely eligible have already received them, so they will not be eligible for the Recovery Rebate Credit.

Explanation of Rounds of Payments

According to the explanation above, the first two payments were an advance of the 2020 Recovery Rebate Credit claimed on the 2020 return., which was issued in 2020 and early 2021. The third round of Economic payments were an advance of the 2021 tax return. People who are missing a stimulus payment maybe able to claim it on your 2020 and 2021 taxes.

For any tax records you are missing, here is the link and a picture below to find the resources you need.

I hope that you have found this information useful. Happy tax season!

Fired on Zoom…Better losses Execs Now!!!!! (Update)

In December, I originally wrote my commentary on the “Employees Fired on Zoom”…well now, it seems that upon Vishal Garg’s return, some of the execs have politely and professionally gave their resignations.

There was a quote that he made in the New York Times February 4, 2022 article that read “I own the decision to do the layoffs, but in communicating it I blundered the execution. In doing so, I embarrassed you.”

He thinks he embarrassed them? In my humble opinion, he embarrassed himself, and he is paying for it now by his staff jumping ship. The statement above still shows his insensitivity to the economic vulnerability to others, as well as , he just could have handled the situation better than he did. He still did not apologize to those he made the callous statement about. Internal matters should be handled in house.

The best thing for Vishal Garg to do is to think real hard about how he is going to rebuild his reputation, not only in the business world, but with consumers who would have, prior to this incident, done business with him. The thing that we should always remember, no matter where we go is…..REPUTATION IS EVERYTHING and EGO will break you down until you have NOTHING!!!

The lesson I learned here is to always be good to people, because the same people you laugh at going up, will be the same ones you see on your downfall. I don’t wish ill-will or intent, it just serves a learning opportunity to discuss as a matter of ethics.
